Excellent game, though it does sort of feel like Oblivion with guns. I loved Oblivion though, so I don't really care. Also the game has to a great degree renewed my respect for the "old" 8800GTS 640 cards, as mine is able to play the game perfectly on 1920*1200. Excellent! Yes, I still haven't gotten my 98GX2 running, but that's down to the PSU, which means I'll need to get a new one (EliteXStream 1KW for instance) - and a new motherboard to slip my new 9950BE into. I don't really trust my NF590 to be able to run the 9950 as it has already killed one Phenom. But I digress; the game is great, and my only complaint about it so far is that there's not enough hours in the day, and some graphics issues that were mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm also thinking it's a driver issue, but unfortunately and for some strange reason I am unable to use any drivers newer than the 169.01 - if I try the newer drivers the screen goes black ("no signal detected") as soon as Windows hits desktop. Weird!
I have a noob question, one is how do i rotate the camera around the charter instead of him rotating (for screen shots ect.) and is there a way to change the charter after u exit the vault? -My system is running this fairly well, not great by any means but better then i expected.
You can't change the character, though if you get a robot in your house then he can change your beard and hairstyle. To move the camera, hold down MOUSE3 (scroll wheel) and rotate the mouse.
Or in the case of the 360 version, hold down the left bumper. That bully guy who picked on you can also give you a haircut when Spoiler you go back to Vault 101 to sort out the mess, apparently his GOAT score made him a hairdresser
I figured it out on my own accidentally but thanks. and cool about the hair cuts that's mainly what i was referring too. this is my first official take go with a fall out game, tried 2 a while back. -its on pc, no console currently. stupid old model xbox 360 and dead rising
Ugh, Fallout 3 is so addicting. I've played almost 60 hours now. And I still discover new locations almost every time I go out on the wastelands. It's my 2nd favorite game of all time.
Just an update to the issues I was having with not being able to load any saves after a week of playing; I updated my graphics card drivers, audio drivers, mobo drivers and BIOS and patched the game in a massive system update and normal service has been resumed. No idea what sorted it...
Ehrm, you wouldn't have happend to made a Windows Live account sometime after a few savegames? I did that and suddenly al my savegames were gone. You can close Windows Live again with the profile and the savegames will return. I'm really liking the game so far, not sure how many hours but a load...
Just one question: has anyone exploded any pants yet? I keep seeing this stat on the loading screen, I have no idea what it relates to (nor am I sure that I really want to know), but it's still sitting at 0 after all this time...
I haven't but a friend of mine does it all the time in game. I think the stat refers to priming a grenade, and pick pocketing someone (placing the grenade in their inventory instead of taking anything) and watching them go boom.
Like themax said, it's pickpocketing a person and putting a grenade or mine in there pocket. It's pretty funny, they freak out and start patting their pants trying to find it, then BOOM. No legs.
Hmmph, gotta wiat for christmas for this as my GF is getting me the collectors edition, suppose wotlk will keep me busy till ten but FO3 looks very very tasty
Karma can be lost and gained. If you blow someone up, just give purified water to the settler outside of Megaton or Rivet City. They're a good karma machine.
