The great thing about modding a special gun is that the special effect doesn't go even if you swap out all the parts.

I picked up a two shot variant of the 10mm pistol and have swapped the receiver to an advanced one, added a long barrel, a silencer, reflex sight and quick change long mag as well as marksman's grips, there is nothing left of the original parts and it still does 46 damage because of the two shot.

So how do you swap parts on guns?

    on a weapons bench.

If you p[ick up an already modded gun, you can mod that one back to a standard one before scrapping it and you get to keep the mods you take off.

    My current gun:

It more or less one shots most human and super mutant enemies, as such I've bumped the difficulty up.

Turns out the higher the difficulty, the more legendary enemies spawn -> more legendary weapons and armour -> turning up difficulty again.

Oh yes, a suppressor is the only thing missing from my recon scoped .50 rifle. Once I get that, I'll stop 'sniping' with my two shot 10mm pistol.

Managed to find a couple of sets of T51 power armour at unmarked locations. One (with an arm and a leg missing) is due south of a blood bank in one of three large sheds and the other was on the waterfront in a cage surrounded by armoured vehicles, that one was a full set at full condition.

Got hold of the Broadsider as well:

Can be modded to have a lighter marrel, stabilised grip and a magazine tube.

Also found the Cheers Bar (called the Prost Bar in game) and it's just like the tv show, the office and toilets are in the right place, even the cigarette machine is in the right spot at one end of the pool table.

Just be careful of a fella called Swan when you're looking around that area, he lives in a pond and doesn't like people... Drops a special power fist though.

Currently sitting with ~ 8 Power armour suits. In the process of finishing building up Sanctuary and moving all my gear over to The Castle.

Managed to find a special 10mm (+25% limb damage, lots of recoil) and now thats my primary along with my .50 cal sniper. Still using RF and the musket from the beginning of the game, and trying to chose between my new radioactive sword and the ripper (chainsaw blade, not special).

Decided after playing ~30hrs so far that I'm going to up the difficulty from normal to Survivor since I could 1shot most enemies in stealth, and 2-3 shot them otherwise... Dear *spiritual entity* is it harder. Only played an hour at that difficulty and already had my face chewed off by a ghoul, cut in half by a mirelurk and blown up by a supermutant suicider. Also takes (outside of stealth) a few more shots to kill even a feral ghoul.

I am getting a bit pissed off coming upon doors, computer terminals and safes that I cannot open because I have not reached the required level and unlike Fallout 3, 4 has no way to hurry things along in any particular category. And apart from a couple of quests which will remind that I need to go back when I have reached the required grade, I will not remember where all the other unopened places were.

That's why I'll cheat them open if I know that I'm not going to be coming back to that place, such as finding a little shack somewhere with a master locked safe. Quick console command and I'm in.

Sent, added a bit of a guide to it as well, as you may need it. Finding the right spot to click on can be a touch tricksy

Look what I found earlier. Nasty! [edit] Kinda hard to read actually. It says "Targets bleed and are poisoned. Exceptional damage".

I also made my shotgun rather unpleasant and decided it deserved a new name :D

And one another pretty neat drop :

Yes, that i literally can shoot all my 10mm bullets without reloading. That gun has no reloading :p. It dropped on a legendary enemy in password protected area of National Guard training yard.

So it does still use your ammo stash? Just without needing to reload?

Still not bad I suppose, would be a bit too tempting to put an auto receiver on that...

Yes, it uses the ammo stash. But no reloading, ever.

Arrrgghh.. I have so many games to play and so little time but I can't stop reading this thread and hyping myself up.

I haven't bought it yet. I want to complete Bloodborne on PS4 and the 100 steam games I have but I want to play Fallout 4 as well.

Sorry. I don't know why I'm writing this here other than wanting you all to convince me to buy it instead of playing everything else.
