Exactly, wouldn't risk that even if I did have the money for it. Nobody actually has a copy yet.

 

PipBoy editions are straight up sold out everywhere, sadly, and Bethesda approached the Manufacturer about making more and got refused, they literally can't make any more unless people are willing to wait further down the line for the manufacturer to have free space in their orderline to restart production of the models again.

The eBay scalpers are ridiculous, though, and against Ebays Terms and Conditions, since the T&Cs say that any product bought at auction must be received by the buyer within 31 days of payment.

Has anyone been keeping tabs on the cheapest place to buy a Steam version?

 

really really annoyed i booked the week off work for this game, and due to someone being off work ill i've been told i cannot have this week off now! annoying as other people have been allowed it still ! going to be January now before i get chance to have a proper sit down with this game *grumble grumble*

 

I'd say that's a good thing! Let them get the first few patches out of the way

 

+1 to that as Bethesda are notorious for releasing buggy games that need a bunch of patches from day one. January is soon enough for me.

 

I will probably play it next June. I have so many games to play - MGS5, Witcher 3, new Star Wars, Just Cause 3, Mad Max, Rainbow Six Siege, Shadow Warrior 2, Mafia III, Dishonored 2, Lego World...
So many games coming out now.
Then older ones, still want to play last Splinter Cell, need to finish Far Cry 4, Statecraft 2.
Good times for PC games - well, as long as those games turn up good ones

 

Fallout 4 has NVIDIA gameworks

New news that fallout 4 will have Nvidia gamesworks. which could be bad news for team RED. which has support if you look at the requirements for fallout 4 Nvidias minimum recommended if half as power full a AMDs recommended GPU.

I like the new skill choice screen. Not long to go now.

 

I really hope you don't have to play it like that. IE - jammed in some morphing sort of third person. I always played FO3 in first person because Bethesda couldn't animate a wooden spoon.

Also, as much as I don't want to admit it the graphics look very dated. Far more dated than I expected.

 

I don't understand this mindset personally. Different Strokes, though!

 

Personally i'd not book any time off just to play a game but I get why some people do. It's not so dissimilar to how I consume TV series. I watch nothing for months and then watch entire series at a time. A nice bit of sustained immersion with plenty of time to enjoy it at your own pace.

Leaked screenshots have appeared from the PC version, showing the game turned up to full - It looks good!

I don't see anything that's obviously wrong, everything looks pretty dang nice. Shadows, grass, textures, all of it. The only thing I'm going to have to do is knife out the FOV a bit, currently the player hands are attached to the chin.

 

Certainly does look good.

I am not at all convinced by this being any sort of graphical achievement if those screenshots are what they say they are. Textures and shadows look decidedly 2 years ago to me, at least.
