You know in Fallout 3 if you completed the water purifier mission that was it end of game with no way to do any of the other side quests if I remember rightly? So what mission should I avoid doing till I've done every other side quest in New Vegas if anyone knows?
You will know when it is as the game will tell you that if you need to do anything else you best do it now. If you want to be ultra cautious however (I was), then do everything you want to do before doing the quests at Hoover Dam.
Actually in fallout 3 if you bought the broken steel DLC the game didn't finish. I always do every quest before completing the main story line.
Speaking of which, how is everyone doing on it? It's bigger more convoluted than Fallout 3. I'm still plugging away but boy do I feel like I'm still in for a lot of work!
yeah did ceasars ending and yes man.. haven't finished exploring either ceasars ending is the best so far.. I won't post spoilers but way better than yes man if you do ceasar, make sure you talk to him right after he gives you the assassination mission.. he'll explain the whole story behind the legion in depth- it kind of all makes sense then a bunch of men running around in roman outfits
The one where you have to take rex to the doctor to fix his brain the Nothing but a hound dog one, lol took forever to find the place. I kept ending up at red rock canyon, got there in the end had to lol at lily. But yeah every time you talk to someone another side quest starts, A huge game for sure, Ive found around 70 locations so far. I've heard there's around 200.
u can unlock a perk that shows you every single location on ur pip-boy map. and there are bloody loads!!!
Yeah I've got that one, But I read thats only the main ones and there is still loads more that are not shown untill you find them.
On my first play through on hard with hardcore on and temped to wait for my second play through to do that one. bloody deathclaws arn't a problem on their own but they seem to gather in groups of 3 or more large ones it makes exploring scary >.>
Played through once now, going for the Mr. House ending. Generally found the ending to be a bit meh, but honestly couldn't care less - never played fallout for the ending On my second run through now - going for the NCR ending this time. Also started build a shack for myself in goodsprings
I know of 3: Spoiler 1.) up by the graveyard at goodsprings. Its on one of the graves. Spoiler 2.) Jacobstown. not sure where, only heard from a friend. He said NE or NW corner (??) Spoiler 3.) In Mr House's casino. Again not sure where, but it is hinted at by the robot secretary Hope that helps a bit
um, actually, there's 7 from what I remember of the display case that you get in the game - unless thats another bug
Who here has done any mods for Fallout 3/New Vegas at all? As I said, busy working on a little shuck in good springs, and gonna maybe mod the gun runners shop - tends to be a bit irritating with everything is in one massive list.
Is this a display case in a safe house, the thing is a friend told me i could buy a place in the game but havn't found one yet could you point me to a good one.
I did the Mr House ending. But before that I took great delight in storming the legion camp and wasting Ceasar and his minions. I found all of the snow globes too. Most of them are pretty easy to find. Found a couple by chance too. I started off feeling like the game was missing something, but by the time I finished it I actually preferred it to Fallout 3. Spoiler There is also a very nice beam/laser type weapon in the faaaar south of the map. Look for a crashed vertibird.
Yeah, that was mental. I went in there wondering why the signs were saying "Don't Vote XXXX", thinking it was all propaganda the same way our government does it. Turns out... SPOILER: Spoiler It was one big Milgram experiment, followed by a suicide pact that (after checking the audio logs) turned into a murder of the remaining vault members. Bad times. I only say that above because people checking the Vault may have not discovered the second half of the story. Almost as messed-up as Vault 106 from FO3. On-topic, before you do the last mission, the game pops up with a dialogue saying "Woah, boy. Best do everything you want to, because this is the last mission. Press OK to head to it!" I can't stand how you're fast-travelled between rooms and locations at the end of the game, though. Even from one room to the adjacent one. It just jumps you back and forth. Really breaks any sort of immersion the game had. Having said that, I didn't get that immersed. I didn't connect with any of the characters, and had no major desire to finish side-quests, unless they were particularly beneficial to me. Also didn't like the perks only being added every even level, as opposed to every level. Left the character feeling stunted as compared to FO3, IMO.
