Windows Fallout NV Activation

Hi Guys, I'm thinking of buying Fallout: NV And was just wondering does it require the internet to install or can I install it offline?

 

i know for a fact that it uses steamworks , don't know about the retail version.

 

still steamworks for both digital and retail

so requires steam online activation

 

Is there any other way I can do it without this online activation?

 

No.

Steam is lovely anyways, and once you've activated there's an offline mode you can use.

 

do you not have the internet cause you seem to be posting about not activating it online ????

 

as I learnt from my 6 months without net (*shudders*) Libraries are marvellous things.

Yeah you need steam to activate it, Best bet if you are lacking the net is to just take your PC around to a mates, install it, update it, then stick steam in offline mode

 

Well, I'm posting from work here, but I do have access to the internet, just not to my PC In my bedroom, only too my laptop...:{

I did buy a wireless card for it but it seems that it isn't installing properly...:{

But went to my Gamestation Store, too find they had a Fallout 3 GOTY For PC (<33333) hidden in the back.

You could also activate the serial on the laptop and then install on the PC

 

Or even connect the 2 with an ethernet cable and tell it to internet connection share, that's what I'm doing right now

 

But would he not need to log in to his Steam account on the PC anyway before he could install it?

 

Doesn't matter, got Fallout 3...This is my first PC Game I've ever bought and played....And holy ****....Where have I been for the past how many years?

EDIT: If I was to give a bit of advice, it would to be to play it slowly and make sure to do all the submissions. The Add ons are worth a play through aswell.
