No i do not have the maplin codes.

The project you wish to atempt is VERY advanced, i suggest you brush up a little before you attempt it.

    RL is a ReLay
    MT is a MoTor
RD is nowhere to be seen on that schem

as explained in the text the motor is attacted to the pot and turns it when you press the button:

Acrim i have used yours shemes for my article. You can see it at www.moded-kompz.net. (Its Polish site). I would like to ask you if you could send me all the schemes in livewire...?

A tiny link to my soon to be site (www.acrim.co.uk) somewhere abouts, and sure.

Please could you post a link directly to your article as my polish is more than a little rusty.

I'll make soem a but simpler to understand and send them you, should be doen by tommorow.

Oh and if you could keep me posted of any interesting comments, i'm allways looking for new ideas/problem spotting in my circuits.

    Cheers

Gladly, but there is a tiny little problem - I only have a demo version of livewire, so I cant even open your circuits :((((. Guess I should go and register the proggie, hum? Tho I wouldn't mind if sb could lend me a crack so that I could test it first ;)

BTW: I am almost done with my baybus, it was hard to find all of the components, but I have them all now. The hardest thing is to make the PCB.

No cracks for that too secure, but is £25 too much to ask, i think the designers deserve it.

Which circuit are you using, have you hand routed a PCB, do you have the technology to make double sided boards?

I will give the pcb to a company specializing in making pcbs.
I am making the (auto/manual/off) with a shutdown delay. I can't find the correct IC's tho. As for the schemes it would be great if you could also make the parts list as well. You are doing an excellent job. Some Polish people are also working on certain prototypes, I will post any schemes they decide to share, once they had finished.

BTW: schemes illustrating LCD control of the fans with the use of PIC controllers, eprom memory, etc. would be very handy should you post any.

what do you think about the lcd and pic cotroled fans?
    Could you draw some schemes?

And i'm waiting for the the files. When will you post them?

Were getting very technical with the pics and lcds, i have had an idea though.

As for the schems tell me which ones you want please, and i'll get them up the same day.

I'll tray and get schems up for intergration with LCDs.

I've noticed that you've missed off current limiting resistors every time you have an opto-isolator. The IR led needs one since they have a particularly low forward voltage.

The opto-isolators are powered from the output of the 4017B IC which does not supply much forward voltage.

    Excellent work =D

I am planning to use the Rheobus with led bargraph in my case. Just one question though.

I have had an idea for another controller. I am planning a themed case and wanted one single knob which controls all of the fans AND fades the internal LED cluster lights from red to blue in the same motion. I also wanted to have a circle of LEDs around the knob which turn on/off as the knob is turned...I've made an animation to demonstrate what I mean.

What to you think ? Is it possible to make this thing using a couple of voltage regulators and am LM3914 ?

    question

Hi with reference to The 2 Button Motorised Up/Down BayBus with Bargraph

I am very interested in this circuit as I may build it for a project.

Can I ask though what type of motor is MT1----piezo maybe?
And how is it connected to VR1?

A part list would be great

Keep up the good work acrimonious :thumb:

    Cheers .:JL:.

I made these circuits a looooong time ago.

MT1 is any kind of motor, jsut a standard 50p one from an electronics catalogue is fine. The saft of the motor is connected to the potentiometers shaft, so when the motor turns it turns to potentiometer with it.
