I'm looking for a low cost four-channel fan controller with simple rotary controls that makes it simple to switch four 12V fans to 7V or 5V and back again.

    Any suggestions?

Just in case you haven't bought one, I recommend the Sunbeam Rheobus.

Very little modding required - just push the LEDs back.

I've got the zalman, works fine, looks good. One thing i would say is that it was a big of a bu**er to install and wire up, especially between my two dvd drives.

Where can I buy one in the UK?

And can you confirm that it does indeed have the option to turn the fans down to zero (off)?

I didn't get an email notification, sorry.

I think out of stock in the UK at the moment - www.kustompcs.co.uk used to have it in.

You can try the following from the US though

    http://www.jab-tech.com/Sunbeam-5-1-4-Rheobus-Kit-Silver-pr-2529.html

Will come to under £18 inc delivery so no VAT or other charges to pay.

I have the Silver one and it does allow you turn the fans off completely.

Excellent, cheers for the info :)

Ends up being a bit pricey from the yank retailer, but it compares well with the Antec controllers which seem to be the only ones out there that can handle a similar wattage per channel and can shut the fans off.

    No probs :)

With regards other fan controllers - I heard about buzzing from Vantec Nexus controllers + not sure if these can be turned off.

I also have a Coolermaster Aerogate II which I got for around £12 (IIRC). You can't turn the fan off as the lowest is 7v. I suppose the 7v is a safeguard so you don't end up switching the cpu fan off.

I didn't think under £18 was too bad a price as I think it would work out to more than that from Kustom.
