ok i was being stopid a while ago and ordered 80 mil fans instead of 90 is there any way i can fix this with like minimal if no cutting or makeing of stuff in other words is there a 2 second fix for this that will last me a long time
this is a tad bit expensive but http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/duc-06.html but you can find converters like this. i wouldnt recommend ordering those because of the price but shop around
ok thanks but yeah at that price i min as well return and get the 90s also thermaltake says that its fans and cases are 90 instead of 92 mill is there a difference
yeah but i found some cheaper vantec 92 mil tornadoes fro lik 10 buck here http://www.case-mod.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=371 again does anybody know if the 90 mil thermaltake and the 92 mil everything else is compatable
ya i know but i have my "computer room" in a closet that has some srious insulation you can barely hear my 300 watt spaekers if u put ur ear to the wall so i dont care
As far as i know , 90 and 92 are the same ... i ve got a couple of 90 mm and 92 mm labeled and they are the same size...
You might try running a zip tie through the fan grill to the screw holes of the fan. Sure, it's not the greatest way around the problem, but it's the quickest (and more importantly, cheapest!) fix that I can think of.
yah silent death nailed it, glue and tape are the other 2 options (for the longest time my 120mm fan was taped to my radiator
