    Hey guys,

Straightforward question- I want to mount a fan (might be huge, might be standard) in the side panel of my case to stop it burning to death. Should I simply drill some holes, use some nuts and bolts and just slap it on, becuase I think it would get in the way if I wanted to take the side panel off. Would a bit of extra cable do the trick?

    Cheers! :D

My first ever mod was to stick a 120mm fan in the side panel over the cpu area. Its pretty useful in a standard case.

You should be able to do this without fouling the release. Maybe a fan extension cable will do the trick to give you some room. http://www.thecoolingshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=656
