Just recieved my Lian LI PC70 case..:)))))
Will be going with a blue lighting theme.
Question is, should I buy regular black fans and let the light pass thru...or
Buy clear blade pans for better effect...or
Buy black fans and paint the blades blue, or paint with a UV blue varnish and put in a UV blacklight in the case????

Cant decide...please help me with all your expert advise( and pics if you have any)

Don't want Over powering light coming from fans, but a subtle nice effect to go against the brushed aluminum of the case.

Thanks for any and all help.

I don't qualify as an expert, however I think clear fans would look awesome with the blue light. I'm inspired :D

now.. i dont know for sure.. but i think that with the fans spining at upwards of 2000 rpm (not sure how fast most fans go) then the light will shine through anyway. i would test it with the fans that come stock in the lian li... btw, good choice.. i got the pc71.. its HUGE! need some handles next :)

    Bump

True, light would shine thru. Just wondering which would look better. Clear with blue shining thru, or black painted with UV
paint and still have the blue cathode and a UV light also.

    Still thinking!!!!!

True, but which would look better.
Clear fans with blue cathode, or black painted with UV paint and still have blue cathode and a UV light in the mix.

    Still thinking.

i say clear with a bloo cathode, but painted with a special uv varnish so they glow, and keep their clearness at the same time.

so you can either havethe blu shining through, or have them glow with the uv ;)

If you're talking bout the front intake fans, black ones come with it. You'll haveta ditch the filter to see em, so you're gonna haveta decide if its worth the dust troubles. The fan in the back could be UV varnished, or maybe painted blue or even chrome. Chrome might look kewl if ya get your light placed right so its throwing reflections around.
