A genius has invaded the F1 track during the race risking his life, holding billboards indicating that real truth is in only in the bible. How much stupid can be a man...
omigod I just about had a heart attack when that man started wandering about - he was right on the racing line, he could so easily have been killed great race otherwise tho
You know how they have guys at airports who have to shoot birds so they don't get sucked into the engines of planes?
Hehehehe, now that'd be a fun job if they gave you a decent weapon, like an anti-tank weapon or something like that... They should definately have some kind of method for stopping people getting onto the track though... don't know how they'd do it, a taser/being shot wouldn't work 'cause then the person would be in the middle of the track; dead, wounded, or unconscious... maybe a big net that swings form a helicopter
That person was being totally selfish and inconsiderate. This will most likely play into the hands of those who are slating Silverstone. Luckily though this sort of thing has happened before a few years ago at the German circuit, so at least it's not an isolated case that only applies to Silverstone. Now I'm not claiming to have read the whole bible, but from what I know I am sure that it does not condone such stupidity and risk. /rant : Tie him to the back of a race car and drag him around the circuit until there is nothing left of him Anyway there's more worrying events that happened after the F1 race : A 56-year old driver has been killed at Silverstone in a support race following Sunday’s British GP. RIP to him, but I hope that doesn't bring the track's safety into criticism as well now Story here
Why? Cars get smashed up all the time, it's half the fun of watching the race. You won't find the teams shedding any tears over the damage because every single component is replacable. (Unless it's a minardi. Rapid improvisation with a loo roll and some sticky backed plastic.) The nutter in question could have killed a number of drivers as well tho. And all they've managed to charge him with is trespass. I'm not sure you can even be convicted for that in Scotland.
