Any chance I could get your opinion on my thread below - mainly whether your PCB drilling machine could drill the holes I would want drilled to use the method of making cheap blue character led displays? http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&postid=302743#post302743
I use a pillar drill to drill the PCBs by hand at the moment, i haven't managed to find a PCB drilling machine or CADCAM machine yet. Sorry.
ahh - no worries same boat as me then - with a cross drill vice? When I was considering making my own I considered the Millinstruments kit one?? would do PCBs in a pseudo CNC/drilling machine way?
I was put off by having to assemble it - not the assembly just teh time and getting around to it - I have a nice milling machine/drill I got in the states (had to dissasemble it to get it home in baggage and its still in pieces awaiting assembly
Can you remember where you saw it, i want to look into it again, i thought it was in rapid but i can't find it.
At Millinstruments themselves if you mean the psudo cnc drill thing http://www.milinst.com/ Phew thought I was gonna have to go upstairs and finf my electronics mag then - google found it though
now ya got me wondering If I could fit a decent drill in it and use it as a milling machine - ie my Rotozip And the price has dropped a lot mmmm tempted!! Dunno why but reverse engineering is a word I like
