    it is actally legal to sell an OEM copy of windows, you need to make sure that it is not on any HD at your home.

    because nearly everything at a computer fair is illegal. They have to keep up the tradition.

    Don't mean to be rude but who are you Ice Kay. I just noticed that you were a mod as well. :)

    in the EU and UK it is legal.

    Ice Kay is our new sale forum moderator because Kna is a mate of his and Ice Kay has had previous moderator jobs at TeK forums, so we know he's experienced - coupled with the fact that the UK sale forums are kinda busy nowadays :)

    IANAL but it is 100% illegal to sell used software in the US. There is a statute known as "Right of first sale" (or something very similar) that allows one that has purchased something to turn around and resell it, be it a book, a pen, a car etc. The issue with software is that YOU DO NOT OWN IT, you are licensed to use it under the terms of the EULA. You have NO right to resell said licensed software, period :(

    If there is one thing I miss about the UK is sensible IP laws, and y'all are rapidly catching up to us over here.
