I'm just curious but I couldn't help noticing your sig...

Is that the infamous Cult of The Dead Cow who created Back Orifice and BO2k?

I *used* be a fan back in the days when I knocked around with mobman.

You've got it buddy. :) Although you'd be more correct to say BO2k was a product of l0pht, even though l0pht was mostly composed of cDc members.

    Cheers.

It was not intended to be a trojan or exploit of any type, it was meant to be a remote administration tool. It's effective for this intended purpose.

i always thought it was written to highlight the insecurity of win 95 and was passed of as an admin tool in order to have a certain amount of legitimacy. But then certain people decided to use it for there own gain as in take over other peoples pc’s, and that’s why it got the reputation as a hacking tool. That’s what I thought it was all about. And was interested if it can still work on say the “secure” XP or 2K

Yeh he is. I used to be "staff" at fatalz.com (don't worry mods, it doesn't exist anymore) and me and Fatal used to be in contact with mob. He was a quiet one tho :)
