Windows FAO - Total Annihilation Players

    Im thinking about starting Total Annihilation again as its one of my all time favourite games, i have spent alot of time playing in the past! before i install it i have some questions:

    1 ) I heard somewhere (please correct me if im wrong) but if a game is out of production its ok to make a copy for a friend? if so i would really appreciate a copy of the TA expansions as i have the orginial 2 disks only.

    2 ) What unit/map packs is everyone using now? and where can i download it from? hopefully one with a HUGE amount of content!

    3 ) Does anyone create or know how to create thier own units? is it easy/hard? this is something i always wanted to do, im pretty good at drawing mechs and stuff in sketchup and wonder if i could get any of my creations into TA?

    4 ) Who plays TA? we can have a game as soon as i get some practice back in!

    I'll have a game for sure- gotta dig out the disks though and dust them off! Great game though!

    great, im currently trying to purchace another copy of the game as i cant find my disks! ive still got the box etc lol.

    any action on the other questions?

    ive recently started playing it aswell... ive got both add on's for it... (battle tactics and core contingency) they add quite a few new units into the game which is good...

    best thing to do is head over to planetannihilition.com there are a few mods and what not over there to try...

    i started playing this a couple weeks ago too! :eek:
    probably my fave game of all-time, ever gets old

    as for the packs, ive been using the core contingency expansion and the TAUCP unit pack, ive found it to be the biggest and the least buggy

    i was looking for maps a few days ago and i came accross a map i submitted to a site in 1997! :eek:

    I left the other questions unanswered because I haven't played it for so long, I don't have it installed. When I did I remember having the Necromancer added- helpful little Kbot that one! Will install in a sec- PM/MSN me when you want a game.
