I have just installed far cry, get sound on the intro vid, but nothing in game. I patched up to 1.1, but no joy. I tried all the settings including compatiblity mode, but nothing. I only have CMI8738 onboard sound at the moment as my crappy Audigy no longer installs. Have sound in other games, i.e doom 3?? Have tried the Far Cry forums, but no help really. Anybody else had this? Am on win 2k, specs as sig.
make sure the sound is set to stereo in the options menu. if that don't work just throw things around
