A pig farmer given an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo) for failing to control his herd was re-arrested after the animals escaped again. Brian Hagan, 62, was handed the Asbo by magistrates in Cromer, Norfolk, on Monday after they heard his pigs regularly wandered on to a neighbour's land and damaged gardens and crops. It is thought to be the first time an Asbo - legislation used to counter unruly behaviour - has been used in relation to farm animals. Under the terms of the Asbo, Mr Hagan was banned from allowing his pigs to escape and enter the property of his neighbours. The spokesman said that as a result of the pigs escaping again, Mr Hagan was in breach of the order and had been arrested. Naughty pigs eh
I saw this on the news earlier....fairly amusing. Surely though if a farmer can get one because of his pigs, don't you think parents should get one for their kids below a certain age?
I don't think it's fair to blame the pigs. He was a farmer and should know that pigs are prone to go rooting around. He got the order for being a bad farmer, not because of the pigs being delinquent (SP?). Edit: It's called Pork when it's fresh, and Ham after it has been brined-usualy with nitrites. Cured ham has then been salted for a while, sometimes smoked-which is then called.....smoked ham.
Yes, the cops should have taken the pigs into custody. And then confiscate some dinner plates and mustard from the farmer.
