Gaming Farming Simulator 2011 Review

I'll give a game a **** score if it deserves one, but people generally only poo-poo things like this because they don't personally like them - which is not a valid reason. Farming Simulator 2011 is not trying to be a AAA FPS, it's trying to be a Farming Simulator - and if you're out looking for a farming simulator game then this one is an OK. It's not great, but it's not truly terrible either; merely run of the mill and average at best. Thus, 5/10.

Compare it to something like Winter Voices (http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/2010/09/24/winter-voices-avalanche-review/1), which sets out to be a story-driven and philosophical RPG but which fails utterly at it. THAT'S a bad game and, as such, it gets a bad score.

 

Not sure what made me chuckle more, reading the forums/review or realising the fact that CardJoe managed to write two pages on it..

But reviewing games like this, I guess that working for bit-tech has its down sides as well, i would have asked for stress leave afterwards..

 

This games become a bit of a crop-per.

 

Yeah, I didn't field to good afterwards.

 

I think they should have named it: "The X-Tractor"

 

I remember the combine harvester in Carmageddon 2, probably somewhat more fun than the one is this game

 

You guys are really pushing it a bit farm with these puns. If it wasn't for all you turnips, I wouldn't have a head full of these corny jokes. I have half a mind to smack you one in the ear, potato-face. Yeah, you! Can your mother sow? I bet she can! What a porker!

Ah man, this thread just tills me.

I liked the screenshot of the Tractor attacking the car. It made me laugh more than it had any right to.
