A '67 mustang with Inline Jap engine. i dotn think there's too much wrong with it as long as it means the car preforms better. i think that kinda the oringal idea behind muscle cars. take a crap car and put a better engine in it(not that a standard mustang is a crap thou).

I think the original idea was more of 'take a light car and drop a huge engine in it' and assuming the Mustang had anything remotely decent to begin with, a six-cylinder Japanese engine is certainly a downgrade. A new GM LS7, on the other hand, that's an appropriate upgrade.

LS7 is only 427cid, 404hp, 475ft-lbs. Not that huge of an engine.

A Boss 302 would suit the Mustang perfectly - supercharged and light in the backend. The Mustang has a TON of oversteer in the first place, no need for a high revving engine when you can throw the Boss in there...

I wasn't a big fan of the first two, but I'm intrigued by the drift scene and from what I've seen, this one is going to have some pretty nifty stunts. (ie. drifting up a parking garage ramp)

I'll be very happy if this movie is actually about drifting rather than Police investigations and stings that just happen to take place within the drift scene.

actually your figures are wrong thats for the ls2 which is still a 427 but the ls7 is a z06 motor rated at 505 hp and 470 lb.–ft. of torque
