Cold *******, like to see if he thinks the same if he was suffering lung cancer. Anybody (or there family) who has cancer doesn't deserve to be told that its cheap or they wont last long (unless specifically asked). And it seems everyday that study B contradicts study A and study C contradicts study B (i wont go through the alphabet but you get my point)
Do researchers actually get paid to find out pointless information like this? Will they conclude that to save the government money will all have to be thin non-smokers and agree to die at 70 years old? We are what we are - its always been that way and always will be...
Someone needs to point out the fallacies in the hysteria put out by the anti-smoking, anti-obesity, healthy-eating campaigners. Another few developments; fit somewhat obese (by BMI standards) old people live longer than "normal"-BMI old people; far more people die in the UK from hospital-contracted MRSA than from passive-smoking-induced causes (based on official UK Government figures); the evidence that high cholesterol is harmful is extremely flaky (but a fantastic little earner for drug and food companies). Bran is bad news. While there is not too much harm from fruit fibre, the usual bran that is pushed at us - wheat bran - should be avoided like the plague it is. I'm gonna live forever... it seems im gonna kill my self regardless of what i eat, so i may as well go for the most tastiest thing i can find a cup fat here i come
My 2p Most of my family is obese, and are getting ona bit, but I don't think one of them has ever gone to the hospital because of their weight or any conditions which have happened cause of their weight (talking about obese people here), the only time my Dad goes to the hospital is because he got his eye kicked in by some ****** who attacked him, he is now blind in that eye and needs it checked out every so often. But then you have my "thin" side of the family who all smoke and drink heavy, and they've been to the hospital way way more.
QFT! We've all got to die of somthing. I'd rather enjoy life and die of a heart attack at 60 than deprive myself and go from alzheimers and dementia at 80. I spend a lot of time at work shuttling peple between long term care facilities and hte hospital at work, and after that expiereince I'm becoming a big advocate of the right to die on your own terms.
Gramma Nazi beware Agreed. If my quality of life drops to zero, I'd like an express elevator to hell (don't think I qualify for heaven after what I've done).
Just because some people don't want to face the truth, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Actually, the increased living age is becoming a huge problem. People live longer, but stop working at the same age as before. This means that the rest of the working population have to pay. If the trend continues a few countries will go bankrupt. People just don't want to know about this, though. I mentioned this in class a while ago, and some people called me nazi... I mean, Come on! Everybody knows it, but nobody dare to think about it.
