Has anyone else downloaded this yet? I've played it all weekend. I aboslutely love this game. It's kinda like Castle Crasher with it's cute cartoonish appearance but oh boy is this game bloody when the fighting starts. It's got a single player campaign that teaches you the ins and outs but the online mode is where it's at. There are also a few easter eggs and some funny things that can happen during combat (turning enemies, and even teamates into chickens). I hope the player base for this game picks up. I've done a few matches online but so far only has been completely filled with players. The good thing about this game though is that any slots not filled by players online is taken over by computer to keep the flow of the game going. I have to admit though the AI in this game is not the brightest and it's a shame you can't treak the AI in general to make it tougher. Spoiler The Trophy you get for completing single player mode is titled "The Cake is not a lie!"
I picked it up and found it a bit frenetic and found that I'd be playing but there was no real push to achieve the team goal just madness and killing, everyone doing there own thing, might just be because its just out and there are a lot of people trying it for the first time, it looks nice and it does look like there could be a good game there, think I'll try it in a couple of weeks when the launch day madness has calmed down, there will perhaps be some actual teams and teamwork then. hopefully get to use my new Ps3 headset with it that I got in the SOCOM bundle this week, considering all the bad reviews SOCOM got I found myself enjoying it, its like a 3rd person counterstrike, £15 for game and headset, top job.
Damn it was really cool... I bought it and was very happy, though I tried the online once, and after about 1-2 minutes, it was still loading, so I went back to the single player. It's definitely entertaining, and I hope I can give the online a go, it seems like it would be soo fun!
Online currently has a fix in the works. I am able to play online fine, but I've read that Titan Studios is working on a fix as we speak. Apparently (and I assume the net code?) matches players with low ping to ones with high ones (not suppose to happen), creating very unstable games and or dropping them entirely. I have found that right now playing with a few friends and the rest bots is still just as entertaining. I actually lost to computer today and this time the AI wasn't acting stupid.
Does it support microphones online? If so, I either need to play on my brothers ps3 when he's not home, so I get 1080, and a mic, or get a 2nd mic for my lower quality tv in the basement that I normally use. Had a 2nd mic, but the dog got a hold of it and chewed the ear piece off
The game supports mics but it doesn't tell you that it has to be keyed up (thank goodness it's not an open voice system). R2 keys up the mic if you have a bluetooth or usb mic plugged in.
awesome.. next paycheck i'll have to pick up a new headset, and still no luck with the online... This time it actually said connecting to host, but then failed... twice! I'll give it a few days and make another online attempt, if not, single player is still entertaining.
Patch 1.02 has been released on the U.S. already. I don't know if it has hit the other regions. I hope this patch fixed the online issues.
Just a bit too much for me to try out, definitely needs a demo. Shatter on the other hand, awesome game
