    Hey guys,

    As a student in my first 3d Animation class, we have been tasked with recreating a well-known 3d logo animation.

    I'm having a hard time choosing. I was wondering if any of you have favorites? It is important to embed the video of the logo you are referring to as they often change over the years.

    Pixar and the bouncing lamp :)

    Also the WB Harry Potter logo (the actual WB seal). I think the reason I mainly like that though is because it gets darker and rustier with the films :)

    ^ good choice IMHO. Directional lighting, deformation and animation without getting too serious. Bonus marks for the motion blur effect!

    Idea! Have the lamp watching the original logo on a TV, before hopping off to do it! Leave the TV in the background so they know you haven't just copied it blindly.

    I know it's pretty old hat now but when i was a kind this always amazed me (remember this was 1982). If you could do something modern and current with it it would be very impressive. Maybe even recreate the Pixar one but tweaked to be channel 4 ;)

    If you're creative enough you can get some very nice results. Like this...

    Awesome suggestions. I really like the parody film there too, very funny.

    @Throbbi

    1) Thank you for taking me back to my childhood with the channel 4 logo. They must've used that one for quit a long time as I wasn't even born in '82!

    2) That Pixar parody is awesome and the person/people who made it should be given medals or something.

    How about the Gamecube boot up? I'm not sure how complex you're wanting.

    JP Gamecube boot screen

    I also like the DMA Man from Spacestation Silicon Valley.

    Sorry if these are too simple or whatever.
