My favs: Gran Turismo #1 Vice city San Andreas Need for speed underground I'd love a game that mixed these. I played all these games over from start to finish a few times each, but i played need for speed underground over and over the most - first without cheats, then with cheats, then mods, etc I think underground would have to be my all time fav overall, because it mixed running from cops, destroying cop cars, modding cars & street racing. I'm almost tempted to re-install it, but i can't really be bothered playing it again I dunno what other games compare to nfs underground. I tried playing nfs carbon but that sorta sucked in comparison.
Deus Ex Morrowind Oblivion Bioshock Mass Effect I spent the years of age 14-17 playing morrowind, and not much else gamewise untill oblivion came out. i Honestly can say its the game i have fondest memorys of playing, not Deus Ex nor FF7, Metal Gear Solid or even the original Prince of Persia. Its Morrowind.
3D Monster Maze on the ZX-81 first ever 1st person game on a home PC Check out the graphics! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_Monster_Maze Was so much fun and made great use of the 81's 64x48 pixel screen res
Best game I ever played (and I've played since the pre-speccy era) was Eve Online. Best game of recent times though, despite it's bugs, is Empire Total Was and that's coming from an FPS fan at heart.
I can't decide on any one in the series, but Half-Life. I really cannot wait for Episode 3! Oh, I also think FF VII should get a mention to, I have wasted many many hours of my life on that game!
Doom + 2 HalfLife F/A-18 by Xicat the old Age of Empires MOHAA Halo 1 for PC Call of Duty 1 and 2 HalfLife 2 + ep's Counterstrike + Source Day of Defeat + Source Fortress Forever source mod ______ Team Fortress 2
Pretty strong lists. Civilization (4 as its the most recent) is the game I always end up going back too, wallowing in for several weeks until something new comes out...then the cycle repeats.
- America's Army (soon to be revamped with v3.0 coming up), free FPS shooter (6 years exp ) - Crossfire (free FPS game, feels and plays like CS/CSS) - Little Big Adventure 1 & 2 (classics! ) Played some CoD4 etc but its not really my thing.
My fav game? Has to be Neverwinter Nights. Neverwinter Nights 2 is out now but there is something about it I just dont like, the first is better. I dont know if you want to try out a rpg though?
My favourite game has to be the Football Manager series purely for the amount of hours I've invested and the joy/heartache it's given me. After that I'd say the Total War games and probably HL2. Just got round to playing Crysis at the weekend which looks very nice, but yet to make my mind up on it.
You mentioned CS...you might like America's Army. If your into RTS then you should check out Warcraft 3 and turn based games Dofus and Heroes of Might and Magic.
