    Personally,

I've gotta say my favourite H-H/R album of all time is Masters of the Universe by Binary Star. With some CunninLynguists' stuff coming a close second.

    And you?

I've been off the Hip-Hop for a good while now, since mainstream stuff insults my brain :p

But when I go listen, something old school and with a message, like Public Enemy, N.W.A. or Nas's Illmatic usually make for good listening (Or Cypress Hill when stoned  :p)

Binary Star is pretty good as well...

In my more recent library, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Dilated Peoples and Pharrell Williams also feature occasionally...

Alternative Hip-Hop, like N*E*R*D usually gets a good listening to...

And for some random reason, L'il Wayne :p

Currently the Nas - ****** & The Game - LAX are the albums to beat this year.

Still nothing beats the 90's stuffs.

Some recent stuff is ok, a few of the Green Lantern mixtapes (the stuff when he was on shady records) are a pretty good listen. As for albums, 90s Jay-Z, Nas, GZA, Raekwon, Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang are all good. I'm not a huge fan of the recent southern rap stuff, not a fan at all really.

Oh add the Jay-Z/Linkin Park album, love that!

The new Subtle/ExitArm and WHY? are my current favorites. I also enjoy Binary Star, and especially Aesop Rock.

Immortal Technique is quite good. Anything that was made in the nighties and early 00's is alright, the garbage today is insulting to the name Hip Hop.

Alopecia is insanely good, but I can't get on with Exiting Arm all that much. I don't think it's anywhere near as good as For Hero: For Fool.

My other favourite from this year is Cadence Weapon - Afterparty Babies

I don't listen to rap often, but when I do, it's nearly always Sage Francis or cLOUDDEAD. Mainly becuse I have next to nothing else.

and frankly I don't know how you couldn't read all of this thread before posting:
    :p

I'll second Sage Francis, Saul Williams, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Die Fantastischen Vier (OK, so they mainly make me laugh).

Run-DMC is great, some old LL Cool J and lately, a bit of Timbaland.
