Was simply getting bored of ares being a twunt. So i figured i would ask what everyone elses favourite flavour was?
    Currently i have used
    iMesh
    Ares
    WinMX
but now the amount of demos floating around on these networks seem to be dwindeling. And your mad if you think im going to sit in a queue for 3D Gamers or one of those mass serving sites for 40 mins waiting for my download.

    Later chaps.
    Ben

bit torrent, using the bit tonado client.

There are quite a number of other client programs, but bit tornado works fine for me.

Bit-Torrent. IRC isn't p2p, but I use it as well.

EDIT: Actually - i tried G3 torrent and it was good, nice features but ****ed up all too often. ABC works great and is simple and almost never fails me.

Theres really so many different pieces of software. And so many different types of them. Wether they be really straight forward like Ares and Kazaa style products. Slightly more complicated but still very GUI like eMule and eDonkey etc etc Then the more complicated like anything really IRC based or even deeper.
However at home I am looking for the best one to be run for multiple users all wanting different stuff to a different place. I HAVE been using Ares on a terminal server. However not searching for much more speacilist things its becoming a bit tricky. One really lovely feature was in eMule and that was the http interface. This would be terrific for when im at a friends and they reccomend something and i "try" to remember to get it when i get home. No luck in those departments, memory went a long time ago.
I am perfectly happy using torrent now that i have had a look at it however i have siblings 2 of them. but the less said about them the better.
What would people reccomend for them who want something most likely daft wallpapers of tibia or assorted junk like that. So they can understand the interface and get it quickly.
    Im not teaching them irc....

Not everyone uses p2p for dodgy software. There are plenty of legal things you can get. Which is why this thread hasn't been closed.

BTW puzzler_uk, Azureus has a plug-in (or 2) to allow you to control it over http too. Although I use the IRC bot plug-in for remote use most of the time.
