Have used Azureus but switched over to ABC when I couldn't be bothered downloading and installing Java on my downloading machine. Lazy I know but now very happy with ABC.

Only really used for Linux ISOs (currently trying as many as I can get my hands on) and TV programs I miss.

I used to use ABC, but it was such a memory whore. After installing the new J2SE 1.5.0, Azureus runs much better with the resources.

I use BitTorrent with the Azureus client also. I'll try installing J2SE 1.5.0, because it eats a lot of resources.

I use Shareaza every now an then, but mainly BitTorrent with BitComet.

Look up at my post... it might make more sense.

Azureus with J2SE 1.4.2 uses a whole lot of resources for no real reason. With J2SE 1.5.0 it doesn't hog as much RAM/CPU.

Disable disk caching. I kept running out of memory with 1GB with it enabled... disabling it and it's fine. JRE still takes a lot but not as much.

In any case, Azureus is my favorite.

i just downloaded Limewire, and i find it far better than kazaa, if any download is corrupt, while downloading it will tell you if you want to stop downloading it. Best of all its open source. Used Kazaa-lite for awhile then stuff started getting full of virus's and you werent sure of what you were getting. I also use IRC/flashfxp. Tried using bitcomet, but i really didnt like the upload/download kbps (would take a couple of hrs to download a 50-60mb file).

I thought it was crap when i got it, but at least as good as the default client. Then had a poke around on some forums and got it working really well. Upload is capped at 14kbps, and download upwards of about 70kbps. (Depending on seeds etc)

    edonkey :worried:

Dont think my netgear router like bit torrent. One day I will try a straight connection to the internet to find out. One day I will tidy up these drawers. One day.
