For me recently it's been either corn on the cob with loads of butter and black pepper or Italian Cheese with a hint of garlic Pringles. Or if i'm feeling all creative i'll make a pizza on a nan bread with a homemade hot tomato and garlic base, prawns, muscles, anchovies, olives, mushroom, sweetcorn and lumps of mozzerella.

I still can't watch the original (first Alien), first saw it when I was about 7 or so and it scared the crap out of me. Was on TV the other night I watched about 30 seconds when Ripley's in the little pod thing on the computer "Crew Expandable" then I had to turn it off because I'm such a *****. 28 and can't watch a scary film.

It's rubbish, it makes the bread crappy and soggy. Good quality bread doesn't need anything other than maybe a bit of butter (that has started to melt slightly as the bread will clearly be eaten fresh, when it's still warm), much like good steak doesn't need to be covered in sauce!

Best snack ever is the Bourbon Cream... those or Jaffa Cakes depending on what the shops have on offer :)

Clearly, i am picky with food.
being allergic to Eggs and Nuts (save peanuts, pistachios, almonds and strawberries - let the jokes begin) means that i grew up on bread and fruit.
As a consequence, i can't stand bread (except for the REALLY good stuff, which costs so much you could literally buy kilos of meat for the price), Pizza and Pasta (the eggless kind i can eat). Also as a consequence, i've never had good pasta or cake that blew me away. Most biscuits are inadvisable for me, and so the list continues.
So, when it comes to snacks, i normally stick to good meat (LOTS of game around here...and at times or if you know where to buy cheaper than pork/beef and WAY better) that's been thrown into a pan for a minute. That and a bit of salt... eaten warm or cold... DELICIOUS

Pistachio(sp) nuts, ale, 'anything goes mix' on toast and nachos. One at a time or all together, makes no difference to me...

Anything goes mix is cheese on toast with whatever else I can scavenge from the fridge - best mix so far consisted of:

    Toasted fresh white loaf with...

    - Mature Cheddar
    - Red Leicester
    - Mozzarella
    - Sausage slices
    - Bacon
    - Chicken
    - Parma ham
    - Onion
    - Tabasco sauce
    - Worcester sauce

All that on 1 piece of toast? :jawdrop:

Im quite partial to the odd bag or 3 of pork scratchings, ( proper scratchings from the butcher not the supermarket kak),

Some nice Brie and crackers :)

Or just some white bread, toasted golden brown with REAL butter on it (yummage!) possibly some scrambled eggs with a dash of cheese through them on the side :)

I've become such an expert with the whole scrambled eggs and toast thing I can rattle the whole thing off in under 5 minutes. Including tidying everything away so I can sit down and enjoy them

After discovering I can cook PERFECT poached eggs i'm going through a little phase of that on toast.

Normally though i'm a cereals man, can quite easily eat 5-6 bowls a day if i'm having a lazy weekend. Mixing 'em up is the way to go. :D
