Gota say finding my old lego sets and star wars figures has brought back memories lol.

So what was everyones favorite toys growing up?

Mine would be a hard choice between transformers and Lego but if i had to choose one It would probably be the lego star wars sets.... combined my two fav things lego and star wars lol

Duplo, Scalextrix, Lego. Well, Technic or however you spelled it.

I then moved onto my dads Meccano as he has a billion tons of it.

Lego all the way, tried meccano, preferred Lego :p
Sadly my brother wasn't as interested, and he grew up (well, he's 15 now) on games consoles, which I think is really sad :(

    As most others; LEGO

For some reason mecchano (??) wasn't widely available around here. Some shops had some small sets, but few bought them because they were expensive and not as popular.

    Couldn't have said it better!

I've recently been snooping around for the sort of monster technic sets that my parents wouldn't buy me as a kid because they were too expensive - just have the "Silver Champion" F1 car at the moment, not sure what's next on the hit list.

Also had insectizoids, and ice planet one and aquanaughts as well.

I miss being a kid lol
