My parents and little brother recently got back from holiday in majorca, and my dad and bro said they seen a Ferrari with 6 tailpipes (Exhausts, whatever u want to call it), and i really don't think there is a one with more than 4, so wondering if you can help me if there is a model that has 6, or it could maybe just be its an after market exhaust, but i was told it didn't "look" like it but it sounded nice, lol

Also they said it looked either like a 599 GTB or a 612 Scaglietti, they weren't sure! but as these are both v12, 6 didn't seem to random though, 2 per port, but who knows!

this is driving me mad as i want to know what model it was, if it was any other ferrari then fair enough, but the 6 tailpipes just seemed odd to me!

It could have had an aftermarket system, such as a Larini one.

Agreed Major, it looks absolute turd. The standard twin pipes on each side fit with the twin circular lights above nicely. Looks like something off barryboys.co.uk with those triples.

    The Zonda is immense.

There are a lot of people who do aftermarket Ferrari kits, but TBH, how tasteless would you have to be to install one? Not only will it probably F up the handling, but it also ruins the looks, and undermines what Ferrari stands for. I think the same goes for replacing the alloys for '29" chrome', which is basically the idea of driving around with a bathroom mirror instead of alloys (Americans are most guilty of this crime).

Its a Ferrari for gods sake, not an Evo, or a 1993 Supra.

My personal choice atm would have to be a 599GTB... so fast...

On most Ferraris and aftermarket exhaust is almost a must if you ask me, so much aural potential that it'd be rude not to make the most of it.

I get the impression you're talking about bodykits though for some reason?

Totally agree, obviously not a powerflow job though, Larini or similar ;)

Lol, I think I was on about body kits... :p

I suppose a performance exhaust wouldn't be too bad, but I can't help but think that Ferrari are capable of designing a much more efficient exhaust system for their own cars, than an aftermarket parts company...

Though a louder grunt is an appealing prospect...

There was a TV show recently about a few guys who 'loved' there cars... literally, there were kissing and spooging all over them *yeuck* exhaust pipes just don't cut it for me, god knows what they must be thinking about all those exhausts! They are nice looking cars though, doubt I'll ever own anything like that unfortunately :(

You won't free up much power with an aftermarket exhaust, that's for sure, but the noise of most of their cars can certainly be improved upon with a nicely made system IMO. Take the 360, it sounded rather pathetic on the standard exhaust, but can be really quite tasty with the right pipework. Not on a Ferrari, but I remember reading that the (not specifically lightweight) exhaust someone fitted to their Lambo saved circa 40kg.

Not mention the kinda noise a Lambo can make...

I love the sound of most ferrari's, such as the 360. The f430 is nice, but a bit loud for me, same with the lambo's i've heard.

I can't believe 40kg was saved with an aftermarket exhaust :eeek: On cheaper cars that may be normal, but i expect expensive sports cars like ferrari's and lambo's to already have lightweight & low restriction exhausts on them, leaving little if anything at all to be gained from an aftermarket exhaust, without extreme mods to the engine that is. I really hate it when i hear bad things like this about my Italian beauties :waah:

That zonda looks ok, sort of like the batmobile had sex with a diablo

edit: the 6 pipes look cool, maybe a little rice, but they don't suit the car tho, as it has 4 tailights :nono:

there are aftermarket kits, and then there are professional customizers. you can't deny that this looks sick.
