    Oh, dear. Haven't been paying too much attention, have you? Tip: go look at the by-line on the story. Note the complete lack of the words "Gareth" and "Halfacree." If you're going to criticise something, it would be good if you actually read it.

    Speaking of reading things: this has been one of the most-read stories from the past week or so. Back to that 'popularity' thing. Yes, it paints your beloved Microsoft in a bad light. Want that to stop happening? Get Microsoft to stop making bad decisions.

    Isn't it the decision of the Fez developer not to bring it to Xbox?

    To be fair, whether we've heard about Phil Fish or Fez before (I hadn't but I don't do much indie gaming), it's obviously news being given a modicum of attention from other sites with a gaming bias, so he must hold some sway.

    I assure you, I have read each of your posts thoroughly. I didn't say that you were criticising me personally, merely that through a lack of attention you had been labouring under the misapprehension that I wrote the story. Which I did not. You see, when I criticise you for unimaginative trolling and a bias rarely seen outside Redmond Campus, I make sure I'm paying attention to the facts.

Putting my BT hat back on: any more posts in this thread from Snips or Gareth Halfacree prolonging this argument will be deleted by the moderation team without discussion. On-topic discussion of the content of the story - to whit, the restrictions on independent developers enforced by Microsoft on the Xbox One and Phil Fish's resultant decision to move the Fez series away from Xbox Live and to rival platforms - will, naturally, be permitted from anyone without restriction.

    Amazing indeed.

    Any comment from Microsoft on the "restrictions on independent developers enforced by Microsoft on the Xbox One" to back up this well known and respected complainant?

    It would be a shame if all we did was get the details of the problem from one source who already sounds bias from his original experience with Microsoft Xbox Live when other independent developers have seemed to prosper from the very same alleged flawed process.
