Who has one? I got one last year, it's MUCH better than normal ones that you have to string the lights on.
Who hasn't seen one of these trees?

We got a small one for my grandparents. They are pretty cool. I wish we had one here. One less thing to drag down from the attic every year.

was the tree just one big piece? I've always wondered how the big ones went together...

Yeah, we bought one last year. Got to admit, it's probably the best Christmas tree we've ever had (we've had quite a few, real ones, fake ones, frosted ones etc).

It's pretty big (a lick under 7 foot i think) but it's the first tree which has actually lasted the year up in the attic. Might be something to do with it costing £100+ :eeek:

Thumbs up here (and I'm a bit of a Grinch :D).

@Ubermich: Ours came in two peices, the base and the tree itself.

I've got one that's just a wee bit shy of 6ft tall and it fine. The motor is quiet and it looks cool. Hey it was a freebie from my dad as his new woman wanted to do the whole decorating thing. So I got it for nuthin. :D:D:D:D:rock:     Freebies rock!!

I got mine last year after christmas, on sale for $39 (£25.05)
It's completly quiet! it came in two parts, the base has a light and motor, and about halfway up the tree the top half gets it's own light and motor. Easiest tree I have ever put up, you just stick the top in the bottom and plug it up. And it's REALLY bright.

How abut just an attachment. Make a base for a real tree, but put the light and motor in it, and make fiber-optic cables of all different lengths to run up the tree and out to the branches. Thats a million dollar idea, and I just thought of it while typing this:D

I think someone should do a seasonal mod where you link the tree to one of the GPO's on the back of your lcd. You could then have it flash when you have mail! Just my 2p

I wanted to get a white one and mod it so the only bl00 light shines out of the fibres, but my g/f didn't think that would be too cool  so we ended up getting a real one instead, and I must say it looks really cool

I saw one of these in the store the other day and am still trying to convince my wife we need one. Although she seems to think that we need a tree covered in that white stuff. Hrmph, doesn't look like I will be seeing one in my house. . . .

In Valley View Farms right near me they have this one tree that is over this cone thing and a motor on top that evenly spits out small peices of paper...it really looks awesome..looks like real snow all over the tree..

If it wasn't like $150 I would get it.

I just got a 4 foot tree for about $27, it had some coloured lights, and a colour wheel on a motor, but I'm a big fan of steady white, so before I even tested it out, the case came apart and the color came out. I'm planning on dremeling the color off the wheel, and putting it back in so the grooves are just deep enough to give it a soft twinkle.

The tree is the best one I've had by far... the light was much brighter than I thought, and it fits perfectly on the console TV I have that we covered with a tablecloth. (It was that, or ride the TV down the stairs, and my fiancee was a little against that)

Yeah, the trouble is you can't decorate them without them looking crap.

I used to like them, but they're far too common now...
