Has anyone got or played this yet? (PC Version) Is it as good as hoped? I haven't played many modern football games but used to love FIFA 98. I am seriously considering getting this and possibly an Xbox controller as well. Would a controller be worth getting?
Played my borthers version on xbox. Its a console game i wouldnt be bothered with PC version in my opinion.
PC version is exactly the same, EA has stated this, means I wont be buying it. Feels really slow, like your playing in mud. Edit: Controller would definately be worth as it can be used on other games were a controller would be handy (driving games etc...) You can pick up wired 2nd hand for around 10-12 quid.
Ignore the fools, it's great, you can tweak how slow or fast it plays (not just a slow, normal or fast option but sliders for lots of things like running speed, acceleration etc) and play it at a high res with all the eye candy on. And it's cheaper on PC about 25 pounds vs 37 on a console + buy a 360 controller.
Is it much better than 11, can get that for 9 quid new off games website now, think I'll go with that
My guess is it will be much better than 11 though I have played neither. FIFA 12 is supposed to be the first PC edition that is as good as the console versions. Unless you are on about a console version.
I was thinking of picking it up on PC. It's cheaper and I hardly ever play with other people. EDIT: The reviews on Amazon seem to paint a favourable light on it
Honestly? It's the best footy game out there by a country mile. PES doesn't compare and no one plays that anymore anyways. PC or Xbox is good. Whichever your friends are on I suppose.
Ive been playing football games for years, specifically FIFA since 08. I can tell you that FIFA 12 is much better than 11 in a variety of ways. These include: Better career mode Player impact engine has totally been revamped so players truly bump into one and other, this makes for an overall more exciting and somewhat realistic game New tactical defending Overall better presentation Of course with 12 you also have the latest kits, player transfers etc... If it had been a comparison between 10/11 then I'd say you could get away with sticking with 10 but 12 is a very noticeable improvement over 11.
I've got 09 and it's a pretty enjoyable game. I would say go for the xbox controller for these type of games, it is with out a doubt one of the better controllers out there.
Been playing the Fifa 12 PC version all week and as a PES stalwart, i'm glad i chose to switch this year. The online options are boggling and Pro Ranked online where you play alongside 21 other players is simply superb.
Sounds awesome. You play with 21 players all controlling thier own player? Are the Gks human controlled?
I bought Fifa 12 beginning of last week. It's awesome on PC. I suck though as I haven't played Football games in a long time. Must say, I like the proper SIM direction it's taken with defence.
