We usually have our LAN parties in the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes, but haven't had an event for a few months. The current price is £15 for the day and the numbers for the current hall is usually around 40. Obviously, everything is 100Mbit fully switched and all you need is a CAT5 cable (some spares are available). There is a mailing list which you can sign up to on our website. There are one or two who have no mods, but usually see everyone else's, get jealous and come back with a premod Xaser or something.
So I presume this is held in Scotland, too bad I live in Hong Kong where LAN parties have no existance in this community , yet we do have loads of "LAN shops".
