The record industry and Verizon face off in court again Thursday, another skirmish in the entertainment industry's widening piracy war.

Verizon wants to protect the privacy of a customer accused of sharing hundreds of music files through the company's high-speed Internet service. Last month, a federal judge ruled the user's name should be given to the Recording Industry Association of America; Thursday, both sides argue whether the order should take effect before Verizon's appeal is heard.
