My name is Rob. I bought a new western digital HDD the other day. installed windows. etc etc. Then i plugged in my old IDE HDD and when i go to access my files it says

"E:\documents and settings\Rob is not accessible.

    Access is Denied"

Any help to this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

You need to take ownership of all the folders & files.
If you have decided to encrypt your data and did not backup your certification (Vista and WIn7 only), then you are kinda screwed. If you did backup the certificate, then just load it back in Windows (Vista & Win7 only), by double clicking on it.
