I've got a few LED's I need to file down, and I was wondering how much, is too much? (Obviously if I've hit wires, I've gone to far... )
what end are you shaving down?? is this a problem that could be solved buy buying the proper led ie. square, rectangle, or smaller
Basically, you've got it right. You can look inside the LED and see where the die and wires go, and you can remove just about all the material outside of that. Grab a handful of cheap LEDs and try it a few times to get the hang of it before you try it out on your good LEDs.
Thanks for the responses guys. I've got a bunch of different LED's on the way, but the LED's I'm looking to file, are attached to a fan controller. As with anything, they could be replaced if needed, but I'd prefer to avoid it.
