What are the most emotive and powerful films you have seen ? That had you in tears of close to them.

House Sand and Fog , ben kinglsey is just amazing in this film!

Watership down, when Hazel dies, :waah: if that bit didnt bring you near to tears when you first saw it, then you are emotionally retarded :miffed:

Um, Old Yeller made me cry. Like a baby. And Passion of the Christ made me weep like a school girl with a skinned knee.

    I've never :waah:ed at a film.

Closest i've been is probably Requiem for a Dream, and American History X.

I've never cried. I found The Green Mile fairly sad though.

When I was a kid "ET"

After that the closest would be "Stand By Me" that could bring a lump to your throat.

SLC Punk: when Bob is dead the morning after the party.

I probably would lose it now if I watched Suburbia. When the little boy gets run over on the big wheel. That's a a tugger.

Add one more for Armageddon. Ive never actually fully cried but armageddon brought a lump to throat and slight watering of the eyes. ;) Titanic the very first time I saw it had the same result.

Old Yeller was the first movie that ever brought tears to my eyes, but it wasn't the last. I've always managed to really get into movies and books, feel more of a participant than a viewer. Empire of the Sun really tears me up. :waah:

    Silent Running.

Every single time. It actually came top of the '100 Films to Make You Cry' list a few years ago.

Top Gun. When Maverick throws Goose's tags into the sea. And at the end a bit as well. Come on, I was only about 8.

    :hehe: such a spaz
