Thanks guys Xonar, i should have the floor polished off soon, im going to do a write up on it. Productive day today. My new sheet of acrylic came today so i was able to make good head way on the flooring. Here you can see i mounted the mobo runner on it. I then had to move the top runner up 17mm to suite. Rivets where drilled and then tapped. Due to me doing this the backing plate is going to have to be re-made to suite. This shows the floors new level, quite near the windows which i quite like. Here is a pic with is all tubed up and pump placement testing, ecuse some of the wonky hoses its not sitting right. Here is a pic of the pumps mounted (ill get more detailed pics tomorrow) and floor placed together. Im now waiting for some fixings so i can work on the hose as it come out the bottom of the floor,. Im not looking forward to taking this appart for painting. Bed time Skorch
Thanks mate. Flooring how to is here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?p=2217692#post2217692 Little update. Few pix of the pumps mounted, I have just painted the tabs that show on the inner motor so i can crack on modding them to 18v and then braid them. Got a few fixings through today so i was able to work out how I can get through the floor and clear the rads. I then place a stupidly HUGE fixings order! This is now many holes are now in the floor, I really do hope I don’t break it. Skorch
You've got some really cool things going on in there. I love the way you route your cables and tubes... might have to steal some ideas for myself Subbed for sure!
Thanks guys Well it was a good night tonight, i shall let the pics do the talking (like i allways do). I cleaned this up. I sorted out my pumps and braided the cables. I then set about doing what i have been putting off, cutting the £50 a pop EL Panels. I marked them out and the bit the bullet. Wala!! It worked and now i can can clean the mess in my pants Here is the back of the panel, them two strips are the only bits you cant cut (to an extent) More work thus night, but im getting held up by parts again. i think the tubing from the top would look better running through/underneath the atx wires here.. sutch a small thing, but i think would look nice when viewing the right way up... apart from that little opinion this looks awesome!!
Thanks mate, your not the first person to say that, but the gfx card sticking out to much make it not possible
Any words left for me guys? Mod on buddy nothing else just mod and then pay the expenses of my doctor to fix my jaw! Ok? lol Peace!
Thanks guys, the commets really do mean allot I think i have settled on a grill design (after a day of photoshop), this will be laser cut then flushed in to the side panel. This image is exactly how I had it in my head, really looking forward to getting it finished. Still held up with deliveries!! I am making a few changes as well, that plate where the ATX comes thought I'm taking it it off the mobo tray and extending it to the front of the case. I'm also making it taller and its going to extend it to the back of the case so it runs up the top of the mobo and down the bottom (bolted to the mobo runners). This should give me an ultra clean look. My friend who i get all my alli sheets from is on holiday, should be back soon. Also the new Rad mounts are on there way!
Ok here you can see the other options, looking at it now i kinda like it more, you will see the fan as well. Let me know what you think, iv inc a pic of where the fan will go. Can you all let me know what one you like best, im undecided. Thanks
I think I prefer the second panel too... The angle in the first one is interesting, but I think it would look weird to have an angled window edge with straight lines behind it.
I'm a fan of showing as much of your internals as possible. I'd vote design 1, but square off the hole instead of having the angle. Design 2 doesn't look bad at all, it just makes me wonder what's behind it. And maybe I've missed this somewhere along the log, but why is your project called "filtration"?
Definately digging the second panel also. Absolutely loving that floor, that write up you did a few weeks ago was fantastic, was really interested to see how you managed it all. Cannot wait to see this thing up and running, have you decided on what colour fluid you might be going for?
