I know! I'm guessing its not coming out until 2017 for the 20th anniversary but I think its helped me decide which console to get. They just better not F**K it up!
*Sigh* Maybe now all of the over obsessed fanboys will be quiet. But now they'll complain about it not being precisely how they want, they'll want Crisis core, Dirge of cerberus etc. It won't be enough, they'll just want more and more. FFVII is the most overrated RPG ever made. It may have given the RPG genre the boost it needed in the west, but I can think of at least a dozen RPGs that are better, if not more fun at least. I'm personally more excited for FFXV, the action RPG system is really well done and doesn't play out like a glorified Rock Paper Scissors, like Turn based games.
I welcome this! Good old fashioned turn based gaming to bring back childhood memories and what better way than to relive FFVII in an up to date and modern graphics setting. A touch old with something new.. win!
I hope its still turn based and they don't make it free roaming combat like some of the more modern ones.
This was the game that got me into RPG's at all. It, and a select few other FF's, are about the only JRPG's I can stand. I don't think it necessarily warrants a remake. If, and that's a big if, it's literally an engine swap - All the mechanics, all the story, all the little side things, all the items, stays the same then I might be interested. But only if I already have a Ps4. Which is looking unlikely.
I believe is said coming to PS4 first... so i would expect it to come out for PC later as most FF games have.
They do seem to be releasing more of them on PC lately, with XIII and the VII and VIII re releases on steam. It'd make sense as most PC gamers are suckers for nostalgia.
