    In the left corner we have a Antec PLUSVIEW 1000AMG weighing in at 16kilos without a PSU, in the right corner we have a Chieftec BX2 weighing in at 15 kilos without a PSU.

    In the center, now, I wanna see a clean fight!

    And, FIGHT!

    (ok, too much booze :D )

    Both cases are WITH windowed side panels, and WITHOUT a PSU.

    Which one should I invest my hard earned (as if :rolleyes: ) cash?

    I like Antec, but there are literaly 30 of these sitting in the hall at my work, and they don't impress me.

    The Chieftec hasn't been modded by everyone yet, so go with that.

    antec would be my choice. sure it's been done by everybody, but hey, i happen to like those cases, and they're wonderful to work inside.

    KEEP 'EM COMMING LADS!

    The case would undergo light modding, CCFL here, LED fan here, special touch here and there.....not too light though.

    Why not do a custom paint job in and out? Pearlescent outside with a solid inner colour that compliments? :naughty:

    I vot a Chieftec, because I got none.

    No serious, the Chieftec. Haven't seen this model modded yet, so go for it! Love the model as well...

    so far the cheiftec chasis have gone like this

    the original full dragons had their day, and inspired the midi's ---> the midi's sold like hot cakes and were modded by everybody ---> the antecs took over ---> the matrix's are about to have their day imho,

    so for a slightly less popular case that is just as good go for a matrix or full dragon

    i'm pretty shure that the antec case 1000amg/1080amg have the same inards as the chieftec one ur talking about. so it other words, its ur choice mate, on which one u think looks better. btw the antec case comes with 2 case fans, the chieftec doesnt

    Negative on that Wibbles, the BX has somewhat diferent internals.

    i love my antec!. despite both cases being made by cheiftec, the Antec has a kool lookiong front (i think at least) and the premodded window is better imo. rounded around the side handle instead of "square". Also you get more leds on the front panel (which you swap out to your favourite colour :D)
    my only gripe with the antec is that the plastic rivets on the window look like ****e. i replaced em with some bling bling chrome hex screws and it looks awsome!

    its really which one appeals to you, which is better on the bank, and if you hate grey, the antec isn't for you, unless you want some moddage :naughty:

    also the venty thing on the BX is right over the CPU, might be better cooling-wise, but blocks your view of the most interesting parts of your computer; CPU cooler and ram. i think i'm going to make a new window for my antec, the vent for the fan is noisy, and i'd like to have two intakes on the side! :dremel:

    the front plastic bit is more silvery then the rest of the case. The panels look glossy grey (not like a mirror, but a pretty smooth finish) and if you look close you can see the little sparkly bits in it. under heavy lights its more metallic though.

    to give you a better idea. my room is pretty dim. I must also say the top is slighty more glossy then the sides, probably all my finger prints on the side panel lol.

    last 2 pics are really crappy webcam shots (sister has stolen the digicam again :miffed: ), but gives you an idea of the glossyness and the metallic finish :)

    this case has taken a beating (many lans etc) and still looks new!
