Hey all Ive finally finished putting together my water loop and im pretty impressed with my 1st attempt. Here it is (shoddy camera work sorry) As far as temps go at 3.6, Idle 32/36c and load temp at 61c after an hour of prime Thanks to all the people who sold me stuff and helped with advice.
Im not sure now, something like 1.35v. Ill let the loop settle in then start cranking it all up again. Most days i just leave it at 3.45ghz as that seems to be able to cope with everything i throw at it and doesnt heat the room up to much. Looking at the pictures though i think i could have had the tubing a bit shorter.
Nice, simple, clean layout. I was thinking the load temps are a bit high though. Edit: Unless you have really high ambient temps.
Temp's aren't too bad, my 950 loads up to 70c @ 4.2GHz @ 1.38v, i think some of thoes 950's just run a bit hot, as for the first dabble into watercooling it's pretty clean and tidy Personally i would have maybe added a few 45 degree fittings instead of the some of the 90 degree ones but other than that it's spot on.
My 920 loaded at about 45ºC at 3.6GHz, admittedly with a lot less vcore of 1.15v in ambients of 20ºC which is why I thought 61ºC seemed a little bit high. I was getting a little bit less than those temps with 4.2GHz.
Ambient temp was 23/24c. All fans run at about 800rpm, any higher and they start to hum (moving air sound rather than an electronic hum). They only go up to 1250 anyway. Top rad has a fan on the outside as I couldn't fit it inside the case and that only runs at about 900rpm max. Maybe some better fans would help but I think it's ok for now. Winter will be here soon so it will only get colder. I'll be playing with overclocks and fan speeds I've the next couple of days
Water cooling sucks and blows (well mine is doing exactly that at the moment lol) Nice clean loop Lan
