    Is really hard nowadays.

My sisters old iPhone 5 is showing its age, and I suggested she move to Android rather than paying £450 for a new iphone, but to be honest, I can't find a phone for around the £250 mark that isn't 5.5" or more.

I've just purchased a Redmi 3 Pro from China myself, but I want her to have UK warranty and ROM etc in case anything goes wrong.

Tempted just to tell her to buy an iPhone now.

    Any ideas?

Xperia Z5 Compact? About the only ding against it is being 1280x720, but in every other sense it's a high-end compact phone. Looks like it goes for just below £300 new (unlocked).

My Z3 Compact is all you could need from a flagship, except it can actually be used by human hands. The Z5 Compact is effectively the same phone except brought up to date with various bits and bobs.

For an existing iPhone user, that's what I'd recommend. The 16GB iPhone SE is £359.

I have a Z5 Compact and it's a nice 'little' phone. It's obviously not that little but compared to almost everything else out there it's pretty small. It will be quite a change from a smaller iPhone, though.

Sitting here with Nokia N9. Android has been stuck in a state where you need big form factor to cram all the HW for descent performance while having adequate battery life and thermal management for a while now. Cant see that changing any time soon.
Was thinking on moving to Z5C, but cant really justify spending that much on phone with glass back, thermal issues , no wireless charging and not so great battery life.

The obvious answer is the iPhone 6 SE, if she's happy and used to iOS it kinda makes sense.

    Oneplus X?

Cheap as chips, extremely well built and very respectable specs.

OnePlus X is around £190 now, 5 inch good specs and build quality.
iPhone SE not sure on prices for these but would be ideal too
