Is there no licensing applications with the software? You may find a utility with the software that generates the computer ID. For example I use a software called CATIA for CAE at uni to get a license for it I needed to give my computer ID which a small utilty the software developer provides generates one based on my hardware. Kind of like DNA I guess. Here's what's used with the CATIA software http://rapidshare.com/files/4005279849/CatiaTargetID.exe You could try your luck and see if the code it generates works for you; they may use the same algorithm to generate it.

That looks something similar to what i have seen in a friends garage and he was issued with a USB serial key (basically your license key) He needed to input the USB serial key into a similar page to prove he had bought the software (as it was tied to his name and e-mail) before he could register the software and download updates. Does that help?
