Other Fire Simulation in Blender

Decided to teach myself how to do fire simulations in Blender by following some excellent online tutorials. I think the result turned out very nicely except I screwed the camera focus up a little bit but with a 6 hr render time I wasn't about to redo it!

 

Whilst a thread necro, yes I followed a tutorial as this was my first (and only) blender project but adapted to make it somewhat different. It was a steep learning curve on render/texture nodes that I wouldn't have worked out otherwise.

 

I realise this is still on the necro tip, but I saw Humble have a Blender Bundle on sale at the moment and remembered this thread.
