Hiya, So for many months now downloading files from various websites has been very weird with Firefox and IE, and I was just thought it was Virgin Media being a pain in the ass as I have been reading that many users have had weird download problems. So today I had the weird idea of testing another new browser, so I downloaded Opera, and started to download a file on one of the websites that FF + IE had given me problems on and it works absolutely fine! To put the problem into more detail, it would refuse to download per second, and would download say 250kbs every 10 seconds. I don''t know if it's a port issue, but it was alright before, but Opera works fine with it, so I'll just use Opera from now on for downloading tbh. Any ideas what's wrong with FF?
my FF often opens the download window but the download will stall at 0% and not really start unless I click pause and unpause first then it's fine! annoying - but worth a try,
You tried upgrading to FF3.0.6? Scrub that: Are you using Kapersky and/or Zone Alarm or any other security program?
