Windows Firefox playing silly beggars?

Since upgrading FF to 1.03 (and same still happens in 1.04) if I click on a link in an email (OE) maybe 1 time in 4 it will switch to the browser window but not go to the link - I have to go back to the email and click the link again. Other times it works as it should.

Anybody else seen/cured this?

edit: I *think* I've cured it, switched 'use DDE' off in URL associations...
