Hey guys, think this is probs my first post, been occasionally lurking for a while now. Anyway, this is my first attempt at a custom build, could you take a look at it and tell me what you think please?

    Case: Lian Li PC-P50 £120
    CPU: Intel Core i7 920 £200
    Mobo: MSI P55 GD65 £120
    RAM: OCZ Obsidian 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600Mhz £100
Cooling: Akasa Nero £30 or Titan Fenrir CPU Cooler £35
Gfx: wait for fermi? Or ATI Radeon HD 5850 £200
PSU: Corsair HX 650W PSU £105

Total: £995 << imo 1k is an important psychological threshold for my dad, who will probably be paying for most of this, so any suggestions have to fit under :p

Its obviously a bad time for gfx cards with high end ATI out of stock and no Fermi until next year, but I think I saw somewhere that the HD 5850 would be in stock in a week or two. I've also borrowed from this months gaming workhorse rig for the psu and ram I think.

Things like hdd and externals I'll reuse from the old computer, i got the 1tb samsung on BT's recommendation so it's still fairly new.

One more thing, does the case come with fans for all its vents, or do I need to supply them myself?

Mobo will not work with CPU. You NEED an x58 mobo for the LGA 1336 i7 (of which the 920 is one). Also, you'll probably have difficulty finding a 5850 at a reasonable price.

Ouch, I thought I'd found a compatible one :/ Could you suggest one in that price range?

A Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R, MSI X58PRO-E or Asus P6T SE should be around the same price as the P55 board you were looking at.
