I recently purchased a supposedly broken portable dvd player off of ebay, and since it has no battery i have it hooked directly into a 12v line from my pc. The dvd player is then connected to the pc using an a/v in plug that is connected to the graphics cards s-video. I have it in a Dualview configuration with my main monitor running two completely different resolutions. But i dont know what to do with it, i am planning on tearing apart the dvd player so that all i have is the lcd plus the video input and mounting this on the front of my case. My goal is to be able to use the second screen as a media control/system info display. So if anyone has any suggestions for a good looking media control app or system info software it would be much appreciated.
