Xbox 360 First CoD4 Map Pack

Out right now and it's trundling along down my greasy internetz pipe. Must be getting a lot of action as it's taking an age. Can't wait to try out the Carentan remake! Anyone else (foolishly?) stumping up the 800 points?

 

Is it 360-only, or will they be appearing on PC at some point..?

I'm getting a bit tired of the current map-sets, and Carentan sounds awesome.

 

I hear it will be coming to the PC as well, as soon as they can sort out the 'logistics' of it's delivery. ie. How do we charge PC users for these maps? Ugh.

 

I'm buying some points atm. Will download it soon.

 

I'm up to 30% from when I first posted and I'm on a 20meg DSL line. As you can tell, this might take a while.

What the... Extra maps cost extra? Awesome, they have figured yet another way to make games cost more. That's the way to fight piratism.

And I'm getting tired of the basic maps as well, though I'm a PC-gamer. I've seen some custom maps, but haven't really seen any action in those (i.e. servers were empty) The ones I saw didn't really impress me

 

I'd be concerned about the cost of them, and therefore how easy it will be find games on those maps. And as with any online shooter, there might be upteen maps available, but people tend to replay the same two or three endlessly instead.

 

There's already about 15000 people playing on the Variety Maps Team Deathmatch section alone. Insane. Creek is absolutely brilliant fun. And the Carentan remake is superb. Haven't played Killhouse online yet but a quick run about on a solo private match shows that it's kinda like one of those run n gun Counter Strike levels. Small and tight, manic stuff. Broadcast is also fantastic.

Started it about 1 min ago, on to 35% now, 20MB virgin cable here. I'll be on it in a few if you fancy a few quickies K.

Took about an hour here! But they are very nice maps! Especially broadcast.

My missus has been on Viva Pinata all night because I've been on CoD and Forza for about 8 hours today. Probably fair. Maybe I'll get on quite late.

 

It would be nice if I could actually download the Map pack. Looks like Team Fortress 2 for me until this Xbox Live thing I pay for sorts itself out.

 

3 weeks for the PS3 download...

 

It was a bit annoying to get the marketplace to work but the actual download flew.

I've only just got home from work and it's a bit late to start playing so I'll be on tomorrow

 

I've been trying for 4 hours now to get this mappack. I always get an error. This doesn't feel like a premium service I'm paying for right now.


8hrs later my download is finally going. Guess I will be giving it a play through tomorrow.

 

ya thats too bad for us but i realized why we have to wait. its because the PSN store is undergoing a major change and they arent updated it for two weeks (GT5 Prologue). I was wondering why we wouldnt get it same time then heard this. oh well. im fine with that.

 

I think the whole PSN store is out of action for that time. You won't be able to download anything.
