I'm interested in finally upgrading my two Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB BIOS so that I can ramp the fan up to 100%.

Really love to hear from readers who have experienced the change first hand. Did it make any difference to the cooling profile of your card doubly interested if you have an SLI configuration. Also in truth I could do with a refresher course in GPU BIOS flashing, it has been a while!

I only have 1 460. However, it doesn't make a difference at idle and will only knock about 1-2 degrees off under load, it's also horribly loud. Do you have the stock cooler or what?

No, it's the twin fan variety.

Why would you want to ramp up the fan to 100%? is it getting that hot?
If for anything I would like to lower the fan speed from 30%
